Old Jail Museum

Built in 1893, this rustic building was used as a prison until 1973.
Located at Waterloo Street in Lawrenceburg.

 PARKS

David Crockett State Park

Two campgrounds with a total of 107 campsites – each
equipped with a table,grill, electrical and water hookups.
Bathhouses are available as well as an Olympic-sized
swimming pool open from early summer through
mid-August. Lindsey Lake is open for fishing, and the
boat dock rents rowboats and pedal boats. Enjoy a
paved bicycle trail plus hiking, tennis, softball and

Rotary Park

Three gymnasiums, a walking track,swimming pool with
water slide, grandstands, stock barn pavilion,picnic

The Farm

Established as a hippie commune in the 1960s, the Farm
is now an internationally known model community for
sustainable living. The Farm Community, including the Farm
Store, is open for visitors every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. –
except for Christmas, New Year’s and July 4th.

Ethridge

Ethridge is located in the northeastern quadrant
of Lawrence County. It is home
to the majority
of the the county’s Amish
population, with more
than 200 Amish
farms. It is also home to a
historical
caboose once used by trainmen.

Iron City

Iron City is located at the southwestern tip of
the county. Come here to embark
on the Shoal
Creek Canoe Run. This
tranquil and scenic trip
is fun for the 
entire family!

Lawrenceburg

Lawrenceburg is a city on the banks of Shoal Creek,
featuring anold-fashioned Downtown Public Square
complete with a statue of David Crockett (shown left),
War monument and a wonderful shopping experience.

Loretto

Loretto is located in the southwestern portion
of Lawrence County. You can tour the Old
German village downtown, the Ralph J.
PassarellaMuseum plus enjoy Octoberfest
Festival in the Fall.

St. Joseph

St. Joseph is located on the southwestern
corner of the county. Also known as St. Joe, this community is home of the
Happy Days Festival and the historic
St. Joseph Catholic Church – the only
consecrated Catholic church in Tennessee.

Summertown

Summertown is located at the northern
most tip of the county and
is bordered by Lewis, Maury and Giles
counties. This area is known for
Stillhouse Hollow Falls known for its
75-foot waterfall and “The Farm”.
